Seems like there are a plethora of children's books about visiting the zoo lately. This one features a fish named Monty who decides to take a trip to the zoo, but this particular zoo is no ordinary one. Monty views a bear water skiing on the water, a giraffe wearing cowboy boots, a queen dancing with a python, and a tiger eating strawberries and cream, to name just a few. Youngest readers will enjoy identifying the animals and laugh at their preposterous antics.

This is a picture book but unfortunately, the illustrations do not fill the screen on my kindle. Each animal is given a one-sentence description along with the illustration. The book synopsis says the book is aimed at ages zero through eighteen. It is most appropriate for kindergarten and preschool children.

Picture were on the right side of the boom instead of the left making it a bit awkward but not a deal breaker at all.
Wonderfully fun story! I can't wait to read it to my grandson. I look forward to more Monty adventures.
My son loves this book and the beautiful, bright illustrations. It will be one that we enjoy over and over for years.
Monty is a fabulous book with a seek and find game included in it. It's perfect for teaching children observational skills. Absolutely loved it!
My 9 month daughter and her nieces (2yrs& 4yrs) LOVE this book! I got it yesterday, but they didn't ret to see it until today, and all three of them enjoyed having it read to then numerous times, and then my nieces took turned looking at it in their own looking. They love the bright colors and naming all the animals and finding the hidden worm.
I felt this was a very cute short story of a fish going to the zoo and all the unusual antics of each animal as well on top of the fact that this fish could be out of its environment for so long and yet so playful and curious too. Thus, for these reasons I wish to recommend this for five stars and for kids ages 0-18.

Not a bad picture book. Only takes up the top half of a Fire screen though, if it was formatted to take up the entire screen you could enjoy the fun colourful illustrations a lot better. As well play the can you find the word, Where's Wally style game on each page. Basically it's a sureal trip by a giant goldfish called Monty to a zoo where it sees animals behaving, well not naturally. Perhaps being out of water he's running out of oxygen to his brain which is making him see this stuff. A tiger is eating strawberries and cream with a spoon from a bowl, a penguin is playing badminton against a bee opponent.
