I think I'm in love--With Storm Blackhawk! Couldn't put it down! A rollercoaster of emotions that will keep you reading through the night.
This story captured me from the first, and had me reading well into the night. Mrs. Davis has put everything into this romance. She touched on every emotion and left me feeling very happy in the end. There isn't much more that I can say that the other reviewers haven't already said. I am proud to put this copy on my shelf, and visit these wonderful charactors again and again.
I will be anxious to read more of Vonnie Davis's work!
A book full of children, friends and misunderstandings. Also prophetic dreams and sexy cowboys and a villain to boot. Did I mention that it all happens in Texas? Where else!
Excellent mix of romance, conflict and tension. The two main characters were like oil and water, or is that oil and vinegar. Very strong passion! Wish there were more books in this series.
You know an author has written a darn great book that pulls you in when you go from crying to pissed at how the author develops the story line. I was so dang annoyed at one point when I didn't agree with one of the main characters, that I had to laugh. Vonnie Davis had me that invested. A great story that I am hoping Ms. Davis continues the series.
Vonnie Davis creates a tour de force with Storm's Interlude. The two main characters are both strong-willed, multi-dimensional individuals who have blocked off parts of their hearts due to past hurts. Storm Masterson is the perfect Alpha hero, a no nonsense business man and rancher who has a soul of a warrior and the heart of a Native American prophet. Coupled with his dark eyes, long dark hair and dimpled smile (not to mention his fierce loyalty to his family - namely his ill twin sister Sunny) I dare any reader not to fall in love with him by page two. Sigh. Just sigh. Rachel Dennison is his perfect counter-part, a woman who knows the strength it takes to leave an abusive relationship and has made a vow never to let a man determine her fate. I loved how Ms. Davis made Rachel a strong-willed woman, because quite honestly, Storm wouldn't have settled for less...and the fact that these two characters were so perfectly matched, makes this reader stand up and applaud the depth and layers of development given to both the hero and heroine. Great, great character development in this story. Beautifully done. My advice is to buy a copy and settle in for a read that is compelling, heartfelt, sexy, truthful and very, very satisfying (with a few nail biting scenes added for good measure - no downtime here). Kudos to Ms. Davis and I can't wait to read her next book.

I love that Vonnie Davis includes the subjects that are often passed by and not included in our romances, but are so much a part of everyday life. In Rosewood, Texas you will find a hero who is strong, but soft hearted, a heroin who has become strong due to her past, and secondary characters who will steal your heart. Fabulous start to a new series. Highly Recommend
